The connection between Kitzbühel and skiing is legendary. March 15th, 1893, ski pioneer Franz Reisch made the first successful descent from the Kitzbühel Horn down to the valley, the first alpine ski run in Austria.

Kitzbühel is a fantastic resort in the heart of the Austrian Alps. One of the best resorts worldwide, it has everything a snowsports destination can offer - international clientele, excellent skiing with over 170km of linked pistes, two snowparks and masses of freeride and off-piste terrain to explore.

Towards the end of January each year Kitzbühel hosts the most famous and exciting downhill race of the year. The Hahnenkamm is the blue ribbon event in the FIS Alpine World Cup. The town transforms into a mecca for all things ski racing. 80,000 spectators come to witness history in the making, and a party-like atmosphere captivates the entire town.

Regarded as one of the best alpine resorts in the world, Kitzbühel is the ideal place to be involved with snowsports.
